The people live for natural history and have a passion for sharing it with the passengers. They are able to give you the behind the scenes events and happenings of the local area that otherwise may go unnoticed. You will learn of some of the ports best kept secrets and history. One of these people John Meffort, has served as a national director of the nations Southern office for historic preservation. He is one of the favorites as he has a knack for sharing his passion for history and knowledge of the area.

Rachel Perkins is an illustrated author. This simply means that as she gives you her expertise of the animals, birds, fish and maps she illustrates with pictures. Audiences love her as she keeps it lively and interesting as she gets her point across. Her talent allows her to bring the human element of the environment to the picture and allows the passengers to see the human development and culture that surrounds them.

Dr. Harold Cones is a trained naturalist and has received awards in state, national and regional teaching awards. He leads many outdoor travel experiences and is a study leader for Mariner's Museum in the Newport News. Independently they lead short excursions while giving you a bit of knowledge of the ports of visit. With these extremely well liked and talented individuals aboard your activities are sure to be enhanced.
